Take your riding to the next level! Built in FULL CUSTOM SLS Technology. With the ULTRA FreeWave our major aim was to get away from the typical does it all compromise board.

That’s why we didn’t go the usual route of creating an “easy going” freemove board and then trying to implement as much classic wave and freestyle skills into the shape. Instead, we went the other way around.

In other words, the basis of the development was a potent new school freestyle board, which automatically led to maximum acceleration and pop.

This shape was then tuned so that it also functions as a capable wave board in logo-high side-on waves. For the ULTRA FreeWave to work in side-on wave conditions, it had to become crisp and direct plus truly work with a tri-fin setup.

Now let’s see what are the key ingredients of a great Bump&Jump Freemove board? For us it’s all about great acceleration, control and manoeuvrability.

But what’s really new and unique for such a board is the crisp feeling. Instead of feeling dull and boring to ride the ULTRA FreeWave offers an exciting ride sensation without sacrificing control or wind range. This is the reason why the FreeWave has been given the ULTRA suffix. The ULTRA FreeWave not only offers excitement when performing or learning new manoeuvres, but is also super exciting in a straight line and therefore puts a smile on your face throughout the entire session.

Our second priority was to create the first manoeuvre convertible that works equally great in single- and tri-fin setup and dramatically changes its character:

>> With the tri-fin setup it offers 70% of the GRIP 3 wave potential (top/bottom turns)

>> With a single fin setup it now feels a lot more exciting than its predecessor

>> Combined with a capable freestyle fin, the ULTRA FreeWave offers 70% of the hardcore freestyle potential of the SKATE

But we haven’t stopped there yet. Instead of the industry-standard semi-custom technology the ULTRA FreeWave is now build in a FULL CUSTOM Technology which is the same way high-end custom boards are made. As a result, both versions are approx. 200g lighter than the previous models, but yet even stronger.

So you see, the legendary FreeWave has been improved in all respects deservedly becoming the ULTRA FreeWave.

The ULTRA FreeWave comes in 6 sizes of 74, 84, 94, 104, 112 and 119 litres for heavier riders and lighter winds.

Available in 3 FULL CUSTOM constructions:

+ FULL CUSTOM SLS Technology: STRONG-LIGHT-SUPERIOR

+ FULL CUSTOM D/LAB Technology: build like the most high-end custom-made boards

+ FULL CUSTOM PVC-WOOD Technology: no one offers a better price – weight – durability ratio

Comparison Technology Levels

FULL CUSTOM D/LAB
(used on all D/LAB boards)

– For these boards we use our most high-tech raw materials (Carbon, Innegra/Kevlar) resulting in the lowest possible weights, crispest ride sensation and maximum dent-resistance.

FULL CUSTOM SLS
(used on all 2026 SLS boards)

– The SLS construction uses a lower Carbon content and the Innegra is replaced by our exclusive S_GLASS+. This results in a more attractive price level.
– These boards are approx. 300g heavier than the D/LAB boards.
– Due to the FULL CUSTOM CONSTRUCTION the SLS boards are stronger and lighter than comparable boards made in the usual semi custom construction.

FULL CUSTOM PVC-WOOD
(used on ULTRA GRIP, GRIP, ULTRA FreeWave)

– Our most price attractive boards made in FULL CUSTOM CONSTRUCTION. These boards feature wood reinforcements that effectively dampen peak loads.

TechFeature

AI_Board_3D

In contrast to the industry-standard Shape3d program, our own exclusive 3D CAD software is based on math data-driven input.

This allows us to cross-check the outcome using artificial intelligence to ensure maximum precision.

Apart from being much more accurate and faster, complex 3D design tasks such as our ground-breaking SYNCED CURVES CONCEPT would otherwise have been simply impossible to realize.

FULL CUSTOM SLS TECHNOLOGY

The FULL CUSTOM SLS TECHNOLOGY is a full custom technology which is one hundred percent identical to high-end custom made boards.

Instead of using a mould to bring the EPS foam core into its final shape each EPS block gets CNC milled. This ensures maximum precision and saves weight.

Same as with high-end custom board makers the major advantage lays in the processing. We call this SINGLE PROCESS TECHNOLOGY and it is the key to our industry-leading weight-strength ratio. Instead of combining working steps to save time and money every single step follows its individual process. So for example instead of joining the PVC sandwich with the EPS core in a single shot we vacuum-bag the top and bottom PVC shields with the EPS core separately.

For all SLS boards we use our most sophisticated layup which consists of more than 50 individual parts and components.

The major difference compared to the FULL CUSTOM D/LAB TECHNOLOGY is the S-glass on the PVC sandwich for the SLS boards (like most wave boards on the market), while the D/LAB boards are equipped with a carbon-Innegra layer on the outside. Innegra is the best composite fibre to prevent dents. Dents caused by the mast touching the board (during catapults or when getting washed) are mainly an aesthetic issue. But if you want a board that stays dent-free, you should opt for the D/LAB version.

Last but not least even every single board size has an individual layup. That’s the final stage of individualization in construction.

Yet all of this is achieved without any sacrifice in durability since we always follow our core motto LIGHT DONE RIGHT.

SYNCED CURVES CONCEPT

Outline, rocker and rail shape are the 3 key elements that determine how a board feels and performs. In every rocker- and outline there are spots with more or less curvature. The same applies to the degree of rail curvature which changes considerably. To prevent the 3 curves from working “against” each other, the highest priority is to synchronize these curves. Means that in zones with an increased rocker curve, the outline curve is also increased plus the rails have an increased curvature and vice versa.

>> Increased outline curve, nose rocker and rail curvature around the mast track makes it easier to initiate the bottom turn (front foot initiated)

>> Increased outline curve, tail rocker and rail curvature behind the back strap for more radical top turns (back foot initiated)

To our knowledge this complex 3d task can only be performed by our own AI_BOARD_3D software. Testing this concept on existing boards the improvements to each board were so overwhelming that we incorporated this design feature into all 2026 boards.

Mini Mast-Track

The mini mast-track reduces the weight in the critical nose area. It also reduces the risk to misplace your mast base while still providing just the right amount of length adjustment for all riding styles and sail sizes.

Duotone Premium Strap 2.0

High quality closed cell neoprene for maximum longevity. Only black Lycra coating guarantees maximum comfort as well as maximum durability. The strap features measurement markings to allow you to quickly set up and replicate your individual size. Board specific attachments:

> All World Cup boards come equipped with double-screw plugs to prevent any twist and ensuring the most direct connection to the board

> All other boards come equipped with single-screw plugs to allow a faster repositioning of the straps plus a more comfortable ride due to a certain “give”

NEW – Completely revised and unique design:

+ 20% less weight

+ Significantly reduced elongation for direct connection and to avoid slipping in too far with risk of injury

+ Improved preforming for quick and easy assembly

Duotone Pro Pads

8-10mm thick duo density EVA (depending on the board type) provides best dampening comfort and control. The higher-density outer layer features our signature heat pressed diamond groove pattern that protects the EVA against abrasion and provides maximum grip level and connection to the board. We only select EVA colours which don’t look dirty after use and will also resist fading after hours in the sun.

Deck Shape

Reduced dome deck shape results in a more stable/balanced stance, especially in drift & ride conditions.

Bottom Shape

Very smooth and comfortable ride especially in chop thanks to constant V bottom shape with slight double concaves.

Outline

Parallel outline design provides low drag and boosts control. The wide tail ensures incredible early planing and upwind performance and improves the take off for jumping.

Rail Shape

Medium rail diameter in the nose and center offer an ideal blend of performance and manoeuvrability. Thinned out rails towards the tail for maximum grip and control.

Tail Design

MINI-SPOCK SQUARE TAIL

The square outline combined with the thin yet boxy rail profile generates additional volume to push against. This generates extra pop for higher jumps.

Rocker Line

Faster rocker line boosts planing power especially on the larger sizes.

THAT’S WHY WE HAVE SPENT A TREMENDOUS TIME AND EFFORT INTO SETTING UP A TRULY UNIQUE FIN RANGE.360° R&D
We don’t just buy external stock fins. Instead one and the same team is now responsible for the board and fin development. This results in a perfectly matching unit lifting the board-fin performance to the next level.FIN SPECIFIC TECHNOLOGIES
Instead of using one technology for all our fins we are using 3 different technologies according to the fin length and range of use:- PREPREG FOR ALL LONGER FINS >> lighter than G10 and with adjustable flex due to the moulding process. 50% stronger than the usual RTM technology.

– G10 FOR ALL WAVE CENTER FINS >> indestructible

– INJECTION MOULDED CARBO_TECH FOR SHORT SIDE FINS >> guarantees necessary flex even on short fins

FINALLY LET’S TALK FINS

THE 2 MOST INFLUENTIAL FIN DESIGNERS
With Dani Aeberli and Kai Hopf, the two Windsurfing fin designers with the most experience are responsible for our new fin range.EXCLUSIVE PRODUCTION
Setting up our own exclusive production was inevitable to take our fin performance to the next level. Every process is supervised on site by our own QC specialist Vasin Siritho to guarantee the highest level in quality and consistency.FOR ALL THESE REASONS, WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ONLY USE THE FINS SUPPLIED WITH THE BOARD.
